Get your free Blood of Christ Smoothies while supplies last!

For those of you looking to exchange the transcendent experience of seeing The Passion of The Christ in for a free fruity beverage, you can do so at Cheviot Hills Market, located on National Blvd. in the Palms district of Los Angeles. For a limited time, of course.

After struggling with a broken monitor, David at my office was inspired to write this bit of election year genius.

President's Day Weekend Megan and I went on our annual Camping in Silly Costumes trip to Arizona. This sunset was captured while waiting out some atrocious traffic somewhere off the 10 in California.

While Camping in Silly Costumes, I took a picture of this idiot getting a Norman haircut, which is when you get half of your head shaved and bowl cut the rest. Idiot.

Then on the way back we waited out some more atrocious traffic at a rest stop on the Arizona border where these sunsets were shot.

One day a plate with an old weenie appeared in the office kitchen.

And then the next week there was a set that I went to investigate, and sure enough...

...more weenies! Ooh, and pickles!

Anthony and I went down to the beautiful Warner Grand movie palace in San Pedro.

The only other time I went, there were ten other people in the audience. This time? Packed, packed, packed!

Anthony and I came back to Pedro a couple of weeks later to catch Mike Watt, one of my favorite musicians.

Watt and his newish band the Secondmen (Watt was in the Minutemen. Get it?) often play at Sacred Grounds, which is down the street from the Warner.

The chick in the provocative t-shirt was taping the show.

She either really likes sex or absolutely detests it. I'm not sure which.

The next morning I got up early to bike to the Egyptian Theatre where there was a panel featuring the Oscar nominated film editors, including Walter "The Man" Murch.

Afterwards, Mark, Brendan and I ate lunch at Musso & Frank's. It was our first time and I'm really looking forward to going back, especially if we get the same waiter. (Oscar, was it?)

Then I biked to an errand in Echo Park and I finally figured out where Barnsdall Art Park is, along with this sadly neglected Frank Lloyd Wright house, by stumbling upon it. Funny what you see biking that you never see in your car.

Notice the Frank Lloyd Wright-like designs for the lamp.

Saw this great car on the way up to my hilltop appointment in Echo Park.

Jesus fish, meet Satan fish.

What was that I was saying about a hilltop? Damnit, that was steep!

And on the way back home I stopped to marvel at the combined beauty and seediness that is MacArthur Park.

While I supported the cause, the end of the nuisance that was the grocery worker's strike was a blessing.

But the demise and slow decay of Mo' Better Meatty Meat Burgers was very sad indeed.
